Happy and Lucky

Happiness. Based on Cambridge Dictionary, happiness means the feeling of being happy. And happy itself means feeling, showing, or causing pleasure or satisfaction, also it means (a condition or situation) lucky. Lucky. Based on Collins Dictionary, “If you describe an action or experience as lucky, you mean that it was good or successful, and that it happened by chance and not as a result of planning or preparation.” There’s a saying that none of us are lucky all the time but there’s a possibility of some people being more lucky than others. And that is how it feels like when I stumbled upon you–a boy named Mark Lee. It all happened by chance and I wasn’t even planning or preparing to stumble upon you, and incredibly, all that happens after that are only good causes.

Repeated failed endeavours could encourage someone’s belief in luck (Harold W. Willaby, 2012). And I can agree with that because I’ve stumbled across many people in this world and nothing has ever encouraged me to be a better person and wind me down when there’s turbulence in my flight more than you do. Maybe no one would ever understand how you pulled me back to the surface as my demons trying to drown me in a deep and dark hole and that’s okay. I’ll let it be my business and I’ll keep that as something that I will put inside my baggage that’s going to be buried with me.

If somebody wants to talk about happiness and luck with me, I will always include your name in it. Because knowing and loving you is undoubtedly one of the best things that ever happened to me after all the failed endeavours. And even in all the failed endeavours, you can always be the source of strength that helps me back to stand my ground.

While we’re at it, we also come across another term which is ‘love.’ Based on Collins Dictionary “Love is the feeling that a person’s happiness is very important to you, and the way you show this feeling in your behaviour towards them.” And that’s just how I placed you in my life. I always pray for your happiness, I always pray for you to find your luck that will aid you as you thrive and after you faced failed endeavours.

There are so many people that feel grateful for your existence, there are so many dark storms that you turned into bright daylight, and there are so many heartbreaks that you managed to aid. And I hope you can acknowledge this fact somehow. I hope you can know your worth–it’s more than the International Space Station times ten. I hope you know how you inspire and aspire many young people to become better human being for themselves and the other people around them. I hope you know that your existence matters. I hope you know that you are the source of many people’s happiness and to know you itself is considered luck for some people. Maybe it’s just another distortion of the probability calibration and I could still accept that fact because in the end, I feel happy and lucky to ever stumbled upon your name.
